Babytalk: Free-range baby

[free-reynj bey-bee] noun

1. An infant allowed to roam wild and free, usually after extended stints of confinement in car seats, strollers, etc. This is achieved by corralling off an area with a variety of materials, both officially created for the purpose (baby gates, doors) and unofficial (pillows, laundry baskets, exercise balls, your body).

2. Apparently, also a line of nifty hand-crafted baby clothes from Wellington, New Zealand
