Fridge Wisdom: Same-Sex Marriage is Jersey Strong

Congratulations to the people of New Jersey, and particularly those same-sex couples getting legally married in the Garden State today! Welcome to the club!

New Jersey, legislation passed September 27, 2013. Weddings begin October 21, 2013. Think it’ll get overturned? Fuggedaboutit!

I’m posting photos of magnets as new states and countries fall into the AWESOME column on the side of legalized same-sex marriage! If anyone has magnets from any of the countries listed below, send me a photo of it and I’ll post it on the ole blog!

Magnets still needed: Belgium, Spain, South Africa, Mexico (City), Portugal, Iceland, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and France.

I’ll see if I can get any photos of magnets for France or Belgium. I teach French at a university and we have links with various places in France and Belgium. I think that there are a few European magnets on our stationery cupboard, so I’ll see what I can do. I’ve got a French magnet that’s basically a picture of a cafe that came free with some cheese but it doesn’t say France on it – do you want me to send you a copy of this one?

That would be trés awesome! I know a lot of foreign countries don’t make the same kind of kitsch we like in the states, so I always treasure it when I find it! 🙂

      Merci
